Ryan Stang is a native of Hamburg, NY where he still currently resides. He has always had a passion for helping others. Stang graduated from Buffalo State College with a bachelor's degree in Communications. After college he pursued a career in the life insurance industry, working for Mass Mutual for ten years. Ryan left in 2019 to start his own company, Stang Insurance Consulting, with the goal of helping as many people get the best life insurance guidance as possible. In 2023, Ryan won the "Best of 716, Insurance Agent" awarded by The Buffalo News.
Ryan is an event planner by hobby. He's hosted an annual Christmas party in the City of Buffalo for over 20 years, donating a portion of the event proceeds to a different charity every year. He also successfully hosted a co-ed volleyball tournament called “Buffalo Spikes for Tykes,” which raised more than $300,000 for Jim Kelly's foundation, Kelly for Kids, in its 10 year run. As an avid sports fan, passionately rooting for all things Buffalo, Ryan currently sits on the boards for the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame, the Hall of Fame Experience and Trusted Gives. Adding to fundraising and community involvement, Stang also ran successful Real Men Wear Pink campaigns from 2020-2024. He was the top fundraiser in Buffalo every year and finished as Top 10 in the country, raising over $225,000 for the American Cancer Society over those four years.
When he's not working or planning events, Ryan enjoys playing basketball, golf, hanging out with his family and supporting his wife Melanie's music and theatre school. Ryan is a proud girl-dad to Rylie, Delanie and Shaylie.
